Turkish artillery | Forces shell villages in Kurdish-controlled areas, north of Aleppo

Aleppo Governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored artillery shelling today by Turkish forces stationed in the northern countryside of Aleppo, targeting the villages of Halissa, Hasajik and Samouqa, and al-Shehaba dam in areas controlled by Kurdish forces, north of Aleppo. No casualties have been reported yet.

Yesterday, SOHR sources reported that Turkish forces targeted around the area of Al-Shehaba, causing material damage.

The northern Aleppo countryside has been witnessing a calm for about 10 days.

On 18 May, the Syrian Observatory monitored clashes on Harbal frontline in northern Aleppo countryside, between Ankara-backed factions and Kurdish forces stationed in the area, accompanied by shelling and exchange of fire. Meanwhile, Turkish forces shelled areas held by Kurdish forces in Sheikh Issa and Harbal in the same countryside. No casualties were reported.
