Deir ez-Zor | SDF commander and former ISIS member shoots young man in western countryside

SOHR sources say that SDF commander opened fire on a young man from the village of Zugair Jazeera in the western countryside of Deir al-Zour, seriously injuring him.

According to Observatory sources, the commander had previously joined “Jund al-Aziz Brigade” in Deir ez-Zor and then joined the Islamic State before joining the ranks of SDF.

The town of Dhiban in Deir ez-Zor countryside has witnessed a security tension between SDF and the residents, following the killing of a child today by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), as he was swimming in the Euphrates River, while SDF were chasing smugglers at the river crossing in the town of Dhiban.

The river crossing is used to smuggle materials into regime-controlled areas which is controlling the other side of the river.

Meanwhile, residents attacked with stones the SDF headquarters in the town, amid growing tension in the town.
