Al-Hasakeh | Fires continue to rage devouring hundreds of donums in countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today continued fires in north-eastern Syria. Some 500 donums of wheat and barley crops burned down in the villages of Salmassa, Arish and Tal Taweel in the countryside of Tamer, before being contained and extinguished by the residents.

Meanwhile, a fire broke out in the village of Tal Barak in Al-Qamishli countryside, while residents were able to contain it after some 400 donums of agricultural crops were burned down.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored today rocket attacks by Turkish-backed factions on areas in the village of Tel Harmel, which is under the control of SDF and regime forces in Abu Rassin (Zarkan) countryside. No casualties have been reported.

Two days ago, SOHR activists reported that one civilian died and another injured while trying to extinguish fires in agricultural crops in SDF-held village of Al-Assadiya near the frontlines with the areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions.

The area near the frontlines is witnessing successive fires which quickly spread to adjoining areas.
