Hostilities | Regime forces attempt to advance further in Jabal al-Zawiya, amid popular fear of resuming military operations in “de-escalation zone”
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning renewed fierce clashes, between opposition factions and jihadist groups on the one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other, in an attempt by regime forces to advance in Jabal al-Zawiya.
The clashes concentrated on Binin frontline, and were accompanied by intensive shelling, leaving more casualties on both sides. It is worth nothing that in the past few days the regime forces escalated their attacks, especially in Jabal al-Zawiya, amid popular fear of returning to military operations in the “de-escalation zone”.
Meanwhile, Turkish forces have targeted areas near the 46th Regiment which is controlled by regime forces in western countryside of Aleppo.
