Regime violations | Forces loot villages in rural al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakeh, and Internal Security Forces confiscate stolen goods

Regime forces continue to loot the property of citizens in several villages in rural Al-Hasakah and Al-Raqqah. A column at al-Hora crossing south of al-Tabqa, which includes several buses and soldiers carrying gas cylinders, food and animals, tried to get out of the areas controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). All the stolen goods were looted from civilians’ homes in northern countryside of Al-Raqqa and the northern countryside of Al-Hasakeh.

Meanwhile, the Internal Security Forces in Al-Tabqa were able to confiscate the stolen goods before they head to regime-controlled areas, and set up checkpoints on the roads there.

On May 3, SOHR reported that regime forces stationed in the rural areas of Abu Racine and Tal Tamer in Al-Hasakeh countryside looted what residents had left after most of them had been displaced due to the ongoing Turkish shelling on the area. Water extraction engines and pumping equipment were stolen and sold for less than a quarter of their worth.
