“De-escalation zone” | Opposition factions repel infiltration attempt in rural Idlib, while regime forces shell rural Latakia and Hama

SOHR sources say that the National Front factions repelled an infiltration attempt by regime forces and loyalists on Al-Ruwayha frontline in the southern countryside of Idlib. No casualties have been reported yet.

On the other hand, Russians and regime’s reconnaissance drones flew over the “Putin-Erdoğan” area, coinciding with artillery shelling by regime forces targeting Kabana frontline in Latakia countryside and the frontlines of Sahl Al-Ghab, north-west of Hama. This comes as the new ceasefire enters its 89th consecutive day.

SOHR activists reported earlier that Russian jets shelled the area between Sahl Al-Ghab and Kabana frontline in the north-eastern Latakia countryside for the first time since the new ceasefire came into effect.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning rocket attacks by regime forces targeting areas on Kabana frontline in Jabal al-Akrad in the northern countryside of Latakia. Areas in Al-Fatira, Kansafra and Safohin in Jabal al-Zawiya were also targeted.
