Aleppo | Turkish-backed factions arrest and torture displaced young man

SOHR sources say that military police arrested a displaced person from the city of Al-Quriya in Deir ez-Zor province, after being suspected of filming military zones when he was lighting his phone lamp near a military post of Turkish-backed factions in the city of Jarabulus, north of Aleppo.

The young man was brutally beaten by the factions’ members following the charge. The factions released him later after they made sure that he was not carrying photographs of those areas, and dignitaries from the eastern region intervened to release him.

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that the Turkish-backed Al-Safirah faction was put on high alert and brought in military reinforcement in order to storm military police headquarters in the city of Al-Bab, east of Aleppo, and free a woman from the city of Al-Safirah arrested by military police for “belonging” to the Islamic State.
