Looming large-scale security campaign | Coalition and SDF amassing troops in northern Deir Ezzor

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition are preparing to launch large-scale security campaign in Deir Ezzor countryside.

SDF have been amassing troops since yesterday evening in Al-Busayrah, Sur in the east of Deir Ezzor and Al-Omar oil field.

The incoming force have been deployed in villages in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, on the eastern bank of Al-Khabour river, where they prevented anyone from traveling among these villages.

According to SOHR sources, the campaign will concentrate in the north-eastern desert of Deir Ezzor.

On May 28, reliable sources informed SOHR that the International Coalition carried out an airdrop in Jadeed Ekaydat village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor in the early hours of Thursday morning. Coalition forces with SDF besieged an area in the village after informing people there to stay indoors, via loudspeakers. The raiding forces have arrested four ISIS members, believed to be Iraqis.
