Deteriorating security in Daraa | Gang attempts to kidnap child

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: security chaos is escalating across Daraa province where kidnapping attempts occur almost daily.

 

In this context, a gang attempted to kidnap a child in the Western Al-Gharya town in Daraa countryside, but the child managed to escape and survive.

 

On June 4, SOHR sources reported that unknown persons kidnapped a Palestinian civilian in Al-Muzayreb town, west of Daraa.

 

While in Jilin area, unidentified gunmen tried to kidnap a child in Daraa countryside, but the child managed to escape.

 

Also unknown individuals tried to kidnap a little girl earlier that morning in Al-Karak al-Sharqi town in west Daraa countryside. The kidnappers failed to take the girl but they managed to escaped.

 

Observatory activists also said on June 2 that a 14-year-old boy was kidnapped after leaving his house in Zunaybeh in Izraa city, north-east of Daraa.

 

SOHR has documented 498 attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods, including detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and gunfire since June 2019.
