“A regime that is unable to control prices has to be knocked out” | Daraa’s uprising continues against Syrian regime

Daraa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists have monitored mass demonstration in Tafas city in Daraa countryside. The demonstrators protested the deteriorating living conditions, condemned the presence the Iranian and Russian occupants in the Syrian territories, called for the toppling of the Syrian regime, and demanded the release of detainees.

 

The demonstrators have lifted signboards with slogans wrote on them, some of which read “if a regime can not control prices, then it has to stand down”, and “in all countries, a man immolates himself for the people’s interest, while in Syria, the people are immolated for just one man”.

 

These demonstrations coincide with growing tension and widespread popular resentment across Daraa province, along with ongoing security chaos.

 

On may 14, SOHR activist monitored people participating in demonstrations in Tafas city, Sahem Al-Golan area and other areas throughout Daraa countryside, demanding the Iranian militias leave the area. The protesters chanted slogans like “Syria is free and Iran has to get out”.
