For first time since the ceasefire | Russian jets strike ten areas in rural Hama and Idlib, leaving casualties

SOHR activists have reported that Russian airstrikes reached many areas in the “de-escalation zone”. Russian jets targeted areas in al-Zakum, Kafr Aweid, Sofhin, Al-Fatira, Al-Murza, Quqfin, Ain Laroz, Al-Fatatra, Al-Manara in Sahl Al-Ghab and Jabal al-Zawiya in rural Idlib and Hama.

Meanwhile, Russian airstrikes on Al-Morza killed one person and injured a number of civilians.

SOHR sources have reported earlier that regime forces were able to regain control of the villages of Al-Fatatra and Al-Manara in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-west rural Hama. The recaptures followed the withdrawal of jihadist groups from the two villages in the wake of Russian airstrikes in addition to intensive ground bombardment.

SOHR activists have documented further fatalities as a result of air and ground bombardment and fierce clashes. The death toll of jihadist groups in the “Waharid al-Mu’minin” operations room has risen to 22, including a fighter of Syrian national, while 19 regime soldiers were killed in the jihadists’ attack.
