Crumbling regime support | Assad loyalists turn against him and talk of his “departure”

As a critical economic hardship plagues entire Syria, especially the regime-controlled areas, reliable SOHR sources in the provinces of Latakia, Tartus and Homs have confirmed that regime loyalists are bearing a grudge against Bashar Al-Assad.

The regime loyalists are talking about Al-Assad’s “departure” as the best possible solution which may save Syria, after having used to glorify Bashar Al-Assad and forbid talking about such matters even among individuals of the same family.

These developments come after regime loyalists started to feel fed up with the recent situation and the regime’s handling with the crisis, especially after the rapid currency plunge and prohibitively high prices.

SOHR sources monitored hours ago tens of people of “Jabal Al-Arab” participating in a new anti-regime demonstration in Al-Fukhar square in Al-Suwaidaa city. The demonstrators renewed their calls for the toppling of the Syrian regime, at a time when a pro-regime rally went out in the city.
