Azaz | “Intelligence department” storms workshop for manufacturing IEDs, arresting five ISIS cells

Reliable SOHR sources have reported that the “Intelligence department” in the Turkish-controlled city of Azaz in northern Aleppo, has stormed the headquarters for manufacturing and silencers.

 

The headquarters, which is located in Al-Sena’a neighbourhood in Azaz city center, is believed to be affiliated to ISIS cells operating in the area.

 

According to SOHR sources, five persons were arrested during the raid

 

On June 8, SOHR activists monitored tension in Azaz city controlled by Turkish forces and proxy factions in north Aleppo countryside. The Turkish-backed factions launched a security campaign targeting a cell believed to be affiliated to the Islamic State near Azaz.

 

Fierce clashes took place between members of the cell and the attacking forces, leaving many injured, while the campaign resulted in arresting several people.
