Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces tour Ain Al-Arab (Kobani)
Syrian Observatory activists have monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a new joint patrol this morning in the countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), north-east of Aleppo. The patrol roamed in several villages in the city’s eastern countryside.
On Tuesday, Observatory sources said that a landmine, planted earlier in Alshaar village near the Syria-Turkey border in the eastern countryside of Ain Al-Arab (Kobani), went off while a Russian military armoured vehicle was passing.
The explosion injured several Russian soldiers, burnt down the Russian armoured vehicle and caused fire in farmlands in the area.
