“Al-Suwaidaa spring is coming with flowers of freedom” | Residents demonstrate in Idlib and Deir Ezzor, demanding Al-Assad’s “departure”

SOHR activists have monitored displaced people in Al-Izbah area in the northern countryside of Deir Ezzor, participating in a demonstration dubbed “there is no alternative to change process”, demanding the toppling of Syrian regime, expulsion of Iranian militias and fighting of corruption. This demonstration comes in the shadow of deteriorating economic and living conditions.

Meanwhile, tens of residents participated in a protest in Idlib city, chanting anti-regime slogans and calling for the “departure” of Bashar Al-Assad. The demonstrators also chanted slogans expressing their support to the other Syrian provinces and calling for launching anti-regime demonstrations like those in Al-Suwaidaa in southern Syria. The demonstrators lifted signboards with slogans written on them such as “Al-Suwaidaa spring is coming with flowers of freedom”.

On June 8, SOHR sources reported that hundreds of activists gathered in Idlib city to take part in a large demonstration, commemorating one-year anniversary of the “martyrdom” of Abdul Basit Al-Sarot.

Activists of the Syrian Revolution appealed to civilians to participate in the demonstration to commemorate the “martyrdom” anniversary of Al-Sarot, and to emphasize the principles and continuation of the revolution.
