Security chaos in Daraa | Unidentified gunmen assassinate civilian south of the city

Daraa Governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that unidentified gunmen assassinated a citizen in Daraa countryside today, on Al-Nakhleh road near the town of Naseeb in the south of the province. The victim was a former opposition fighter before his status was settled with the regime.

This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, mines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from past June to date, to more than 501 attacks.

While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 328 persons, 81 of whom are civilians, including seven women and seven children, in addition to 169 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.

52 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 17 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to six members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
