“In Al-Suwaidaa regime has fallen” | People of Jabal Al-Arab renew anti-regime demonstrations, calling for Assad’s “departure”

Al-Suwaidaa Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: Syrian Observatory activists have monitored people of Jabal Al-Arab participating in a new demonstration, demanding the toppling of the Syrian regime.

Tens of residents have gathered in Al-Sayr square in front of the municipality building in Al-Suwaidaa city, chanting anti-regime slogans like “The Syrian people are one – Long Live Syria and down with Bashar – We want detainees to be set free – Syrian blood is precious – here in Al-Suwaidaa, the regime has fallen”.

The demonstrators also chanted slogans showing their support to all Syria’s provinces calling upon all Syrians to go out in anti-regime demonstrations.

SOHR sources reported earlier this morning that residents of Jabal Al-Arab are preparing for a new demonstration in the incoming few hours in Al-Suwaidaa city, confirming their demands of the toppling of Syrian regime and the departure of Al-Assad.

These developments come in the shadow of regime crackdown and repression of anti-regime demonstrations and protests in Al-Suwaidaa through the continuous usage of religion by loyal dignitaries and al-Aql elders.

Observatory sources have confirmed that protests will never stop, despite efforts by regime authorities and officers to counter them.

Moreover, the mishandling of regime security services and loyalists with protests and the accusations against protesters of treason and spying, during and after protests dubbed “we want to live” which called at that time for the improvement of living conditions, have evolved the situation and pushed the demonstrators to demand the toppling of Syrian regime and the expulsion of all occupants.

On Wednesday, SOHR sources monitored tens of people of “Jabal Al-Arab” participating in a new anti-regime demonstration in Al-Fukhar square in Al-Suwaidaa city. The demonstrators renewed their calls for the toppling of the Syrian regime, at a time when fabricated a pro-regime rally went out in the city.
