Al-Bab | Military police arrests young man for “belonging” to the Islamic State

SOHR sources say that military police in the city of Al-Bab, north-east of Aleppo, arrested a young man, a few days ago, while he was on the streets of the city.

Military police stole the contents of his house, while the military police denied his presence. Observatory sources added that the young man had been transferred to Turkey.

The young man was a member of Jund al-Aqsa years ago and joined the Islamic State until 2018, and then settled in the city of Al-Bab.

On June 10, reliable SOHR sources reported that the “Intelligence department” in the Turkish-controlled city of Azaz in northern Aleppo, stormed the headquarters for manufacturing IEDs and silencers.

The headquarters, which is located in Al-Sena’a neighbourhood in Azaz city center, is believed to be affiliated to ISIS cells operating in the area. According to SOHR sources, five persons were arrested during the raid.
