First patrol of its kind | Russian and Turkish forces cover 40 km along M4

SOHR | "Reports of attacking Russian military vehicle untrue"

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that reports of attacking a Russian military vehicle during today’s joint patrol with Turkish forces on the M4 highway are completely false. “The Russian vehicle has broken down because of technical malfunction, and it was dragged by a Turkish vehicle,” SOHR sources added.

It is worth noting that the patrol has toured an area of more than 40 km along the M4 highway for the first time since the start of joint patrols between the two sides.

Observatory sources have just reported that Russian and Turkish forces conducted a new joint patrol on Aleppo-Latakia international highway (M4). The patrol set off from Tarnabeh village in eastern Idlib towards the eastern outskirts of Jisr Al-Shughur city. That was the first time for Turkish-Russian joint patrols to reach this area. It is worth noting that it was the 17th joint patrol to tour the M4 highway.
