Daraa | Demonstration in Al-Karak Al-Sharqi supporting Jabal Al-Arab uprising and refusing Iranian and regime forces’ presence

Daraa governorate – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory has monitored today a night demonstration in Al-Karak Al-Sharqi town, expressing solidarity with the residents of Al-Sweida. The demonstrators demanded the release of the detainees and the departure of Iranian militias from Syria.

The demonstrators were seen holding banners with expressions of solidarity with the people of Jabal al-Arab.

Meanwhile, citizens in the city of Tafas, west of Daraa, hold a night demonstration yesterday. Demonstrators demanded the overthrow of the regime and the expulsion of Iranian militias from Syrian territory, and chanted slogans supporting the cities uprising against the Assad regime.

On June 15, SOHR activists monitored new anti-regime and anti-Iran graffiti on the walls of neighbourhoods and schools in Al-Karak Al-Sharqi town in the eastern countryside of Daraa. Some pieces of this graffiti read “no to the Iranian occupation, Iran has to leave Syria” and “release the detainees or it is the war”.

On Friday, Observatory activists monitored tens of residents participating in two demonstrations in Daraa province. The first demonstration went out in Daraa Al-Balad in Daraa city, while the second one was in Al-Jizah town in Daraa countryside.

The demonstrators demanded the Iranians leave Syrian, and called for the toppling of the Syrian regime and the release of detainees. The residents also chanted slogans expressing their solidarity and support to the anti-regime protests in Al-Suwaidaa province.
