ISIS resurgence | Three National Defense members killed in attack by cells on their positions in Deir ez-Zor

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored an attack by Islamic State cells on the positions of the regime-backed National Defense Forces (NDF) in Al-Bolil desert in Deir ez-Zor countryside. The attack left three members of the National Defense dead and others injured.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented today the death of a regime soldier, as an IED exploded in the area of Arak field in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The death toll since late March 24, 2019 to date has risen. The Syrian Observatory has documented the death of at least 575 members of regime forces and loyalists of Syrian and non-Syrian citizens, including at least two Russians.

In addition to 127 members of Iranian-backed militias of non-Syrian citizens, all were killed in ISIS attacks, IEDs and ambushes in the western Euphrates, and the desert of Deir ez-Zor, Homs and Sweida.

SOHR also confirmed the death of four civilians working in the gas fields as a result of the group’s attacks, and 11 shepherds were killed in the group’s attacks,

The Syrian Observatory also documented the death of 212 members of Islamic State, during the same period, in attacks, bombings and targets.
