“De-escalation zone” | Russian jets fly over Idlib and regime forces renew shelling towns in southern countryside

SOHR activists have reported seeing Russian jets flying over Idlib. Meanwhile, Russian forces shelled places in Al-Halloubah, Kafr Oweid, Sfuhen, Fulayfel and Al-Fterah in the southern countryside of Idlib after midnight and this dawn. No casualties have been reported.

 

Yesterday, Observatory sources confirmed that fierce clashes erupted on Bayanin frontlines in the southern countryside of Idlib, between opposition factions and jihadi groups on one hand, and regime forces and loyalists on the other.

 

The clashes, which were accompanied by exchange of shelling and fire, followed an attempt by regime forces to advance into positions of the factions. Confirmed reports suggested there are casualties on both sides.
