Hostilities | Seven regime soldiers and opposition fighters killed in attack by regime forces in Jabal al-Zawiya, and Turkish artillery shells Ma’rat al-Numan and surrounding areas

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning an attack by regime forces and loyalists on the positions of the “National Front for Liberation” in Harsh Binin in Jabal al-Zawiya in southern countryside of Idlib.

Fierce clashes erupted between the two sides and lasted until the early hours of the morning, accompanied by intensive rocket fire with dozens of shells.

The clashes left at least four opposition fighters dead, in addition to three regime soldiers. The death toll is expected to rise as many injured in serious conditions.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces shelled this morning regime forces positions in Ma’rat al-Numan and the village of Al-Dana, south of Idlib, from which the attacks are being launched on Jabal al-Zawiya. No casualties have been reported yet. A drone also targeted the Benin area this morning. No casualties have been reported yet.
