For third day | Armed Fight resumes with continuous military reinforcement, and 19 jihadist fighters killed west of Idlib

SOHR sources say that the members of Huras al-Din organisation withdrew from Al-Ya’qubiya checkpoint after they captured it yesterday, and expelled the members of HTS from it. Then they headed to the vicinity of the villages of Zarzour and Al-Hamameh, north of Jisr al-Shughour, after elders and sharia men intervened to stop the fighting between them in Jisr al-Shughour area.

HTS sent in military reinforcement from its sectors in Idlib areas towards the villages of Kafr Rohin, Ma’artin and Sahl al-Rouj area, west of Idlib city. Military vehicles and heavy weapons belonging to HTS stationed at Idlib Central Prison after it was able to take over it.

Meanwhile, clashes continue with exchange of shelling, mortars, rockets, heavy, medium and light machine guns. Huras al-Din members were able to destroy a tracked vehicle of HTS during HTS attack on the village of Arab Said.

Seven members of Huras al-Din organization were killed and others injured, while three members of HTS were killed during the clashes.

The death toll of the factional fighting on the third day has increased to 19 so far. They are: 12 members of Huras al-Din, including a commander of foreign nationality, and seven HTS members.

SOHR sources have reported earlier that a war-wounded man was killed in shelling on the village of Ma’rtin, west of Idlib city.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this evening renewed factional clashes in the area of Arab Said, after a tense calm lasted for more than 12 consecutive hours, interspersed with sporadic clashes.
