IED attacks | Two explosions rock areas controlled by International Coalition and SDF in Al-Raqqah

Syrian Observatory activists have reported hearing an explosion in the early hours of Saturday morning in Al-Raqqah city which is under the control of Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED near the area of the youth residential complex, which is a military post and contains a military hospital. No casualties have been reported.

 

Another explosion took place in the western part of Al-Raqqah city caused by an IED explosion in Al-Qetar street. Gunfire was heard after the explosion, but no casualties have been reported yet.

 

Yesterday, SOHR sources said that unidentified gunmen stopped SDF member who was traveling on a motorcycle in Al-Busayrah city, east of Deir Ezzor, and shot him dead with a machinegun.

 

As more people were killed, it rose to 531 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo.

 

Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 175 civilians including 14 children and eight women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 352 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
