Security campaign | SDF arrest civilian in Deir Ezzor for “belonging to ISIS”

Reliable sources have informed SOHR that an SDF security group, backed by the International Coalition aircraft, raided a house in Al-Shuhayl town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor in the early hours of Monday. The raiding forces arrested a civilian for “belonging to ISIS”. It is worth noting that SDF and the International Coalition had arrested the same civilian and his son nearly a year ago, then they released them.

Despite all security campaigns by Syria Democratic Forces and the International Coalition, ISIS activities are escalating largely in SDF-controlled areas across Syria. These activities are mainly concentrated in Deir Ezzor, especially in the eastern countryside.

According to SOHR statistics, ISIS has carried out more than 39 operations since May 19 to date, including detonation of IEDs, motorcycle-bombs and car-bombs, gunfire, attacks and executions.

These operations have left many dead in SDF-held areas in Deir Ezzor countryside, Al-Hasakah countryside, Al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. Syrian activists have documented the killing of 28 persons, and they are as follows:

Six civilians, including two children and one woman.

22 SDF fighters and workers in the institutions of the Autonomous Administration.
