IED attacks | Explosion targets regime military vehicle in western Daraa

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that an IED went off on the road between Tafas and Da’el cities in west Daraa countryside, while a military “Zil” truck affiliated to regime forces was passing. No casualties have been reported.

SOHR source reported earlier this morning that Sayda town experienced security tension after gunmen of the 8th Brigade of the 5th Corps had torn posters of the Syrian regime president, Bashar Al-Assad, protesting the killing of two members of the 5th Corps.

SOHR sources said that a popular demonstration took place in the town of Tafas in Daraa countryside, demanding the toppling of the Syrian regime and the expulsion of Iranian militias and Lebanese Hezbollah from Syria.

Residents in the town of Kahil east of Daraa, participated in the funeral of one of the members of the 8th Brigade of the 5th Corps who was killed during clashes with regime forces in the previous day in Mahajeh town.

The funeral was turned into a demonstration during which the participants chanted slogans against regime forces and security branches, demanding the toppling of the regime.

Since the beginning of security chaos in Daraa in early June 2019, Syrian Observatory activists have documented more than 529 attacks and assassination attempts by gunfire and detonations of IEDs, motorcycle-bombs and car-bombs.
