Turkish artillery fire | Shelling stepped up on positions of regime forces and SDF in Ain Issa

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored intensive artillery shelling by Turkish forces and their proxies stationed in the areas of “Peace Spring”, targeting positions of regime forces and SDF in the western countryside of “Ain Issa” district in northern Al-Raqqah. No casualties have been reported.

 

Observatory activists had monitored military movements of Turkish forces and proxy factions nearby Qazali village, west of Tal Abyad city in northern Raqqah. No confirmed information were reported about the destination of those forces.

 

Meanwhile, 20 buses carrying regime soldiers and loyalists arrived in Ain Issa city in northern Al-Raqqah.

 

On June 28, Yesterday, SOHR sources said that military reinforcement of nearly 50 vehicles, including buses and Zil trucks carrying military personnel, affiliated to regime forces escorting by Russian armoured vehicles entered Ain Issa city in northern Al-Raqqah.

 

SOHR sources reported earlier that day that Russian forces lowered the Russian flag fixed on Ain Issa military base in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. The reasons behind this action were unknown whether the Russians intend to withdraw from the area or there is another reason.
