“De-escalation zone” | Four regime soldiers killed in clashes, and infiltration attempt by regime on frontlines of Idlib countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the killing of one fighter of opposition factions and the injuring of others, on the frontline of the Fatira in Idlib countryside. Four regime soldiers and loyalists were also killed in the clashes.

According to Observatory sources, a group of regime forces infiltrated into the factions’ positions on Al-Fatira frontline. While Factions managed to repel the regime’s attack leaving casualties among them.

Meanwhile, regime forces tried to pull out the dead and wounded from the site of infiltration, coinciding with an intensive ground firepower by regime forces stationed in Idlib countryside.

On the other hand, clashes took place with heavy and medium machine guns between regime forces and opposition factions, on Afis frontline east of Idlib. No casualties have been reported yet.

SOHR sources reported earlier that regime forces shelled this evening the town of Kansafra and the villages of Benin and Al-Ruwayha in Jabal al-Zawiya.

Furthermore, clashes with heavy and medium-sized machine guns broke out between regime forces and loyalists on the one hand, and opposition factions stationed in Miznaz frontline, west of Aleppo. While regime forces shelled opposition factions’ positions with artillery.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this morning extensive flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over Jabal al-Zawiya and the eastern countryside of Idlib.

Moreover, regime forces shelled this morning positions in the villages of Al-Rawiha, Benin and Sarjeh in the southern sector of the Idlib countryside.
