Homs | Five regime soldiers killed or wounded in attack on checkpoint in Talbiseh

Reliable sources have told SOHR that unknown gunmen on motorcycles attacked with heavy machineguns the regime’s checkpoint of “Al-Madrasah” in Talbiseh city in the northern countryside of Homs yesterday evening. The attack left one regime soldier dead, while four others sustained various injuries.

On June 25, SOHR activists said that a group belonging to the Military Intelligence branch in Homs arrested a member who settled his security situation with regime forces and joined the “Tiger Forces” in Talbiseh area in northern Homs.

Meanwhile, members of the “Tiger Forces” attacked a security detachment of the Military Intelligence branch at the entrance of Talbiseh city, arresting non-commissioned officer. The attack sparked security tension among these forces. Meanwhile, mediators intervened to resolve the dispute between the “Tiger Forces” and members of the Military Intelligence detachment, which ended up by releasing the two detained members.
