Protests in northern Idlib and Afrin demand the release of “Abu Khawlah Mohassan” held in “National Army” custody

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored protests in Kafr Lusin camp and Atma in Idlib, and Afrin city in north-western Aleppo, demanding the release of “Abu Khawlah Mohassan”, the leader of “Shuhada’a al-Sharqiyyah Gathering”. “Abu Khawlah” is held in a prison of the Turkish-backed “National Army” in northern Aleppo, after being sentenced to five years’ imprisonment.

On June 30, SOHR sources reported that the judiciary of the Turkish-backed “National Army” sentenced “Abu Khawlah”, the leader of “Shuhada’a al-Sharqiyyah Gathering” operating in areas under the control of “Peace Spring” and “Euphrates Shield”, to five years’ imprisonment for forming a faction separate from the “National Army” structure and not obeying orders.
