Al-Raqqah | Fierce clashes continue in Tal Abyad, leaving nearly ten Turkish-backed militiamen dead or wounded

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored escalating intensity of clashes between “Al-Majd Corps” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah”, in the Turkish-controlled city of “Tal Abyad”, north of Al-Raqqah province.

 

According to SOHR sources, “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” managed to capture the building of the agricultural bank in Tal Abyad, which used to be the headquarters of “Al-Majd Corps”, after fierce clashes with various types of weapons. Both factions also used rocket shell during the fierce clashes, which resulted in the killing of at least two members of “Al-Majd Corps” and the injury of seven others.

 

Observatory sources reported this afternoon that a new armed fight broke out in areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies in “Peace Spring” area. Fierce clashes erupted between “Al-Majd Corps” and “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah”, near the agricultural bank in Tal Abyad city in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah. Reasons behind this fight were unknown.
