International Court | Autonomous Administration continues trials of Syrian ISIS prisoners, and awaits approval to try foreign ISIS members

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that the “Autonomous Administration in northern and north-eastern Syria” is awaiting international approval to start trying foreign ISIS prisoners. The ”Autonomous Administration” had completed the construction of the “international court” in Al-Qamishli and prepared specialized teams of lawyers and judges.

This development coincides with the continuation of trials of local ISIS prisoners in other courts in the presence of international delegations which supervise the trials and produce reports.

A few days ago, SOHR sources reported that the Autonomous Administration completed the construction of the “international court” in the eastern neighbourhood in Al-Qamishli city.

Meanwhile, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that tens of ISIS prisoners of Syrian nationality were tried according to the Autonomous Administration’s laws and under the International Coalition’s supervision. However, it was not known if the trials were held in the new court or somewhere else.
