Ongoing repression | HTS arrests ten members in Idlib city and countryside for unknown reasons

Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham has arrested ten of the group’s members in Idlib city and countryside, including non-Syrian members. The reasons behind arresting these members have yet to be known.

On June 28, SOHR sources reported that that a military group of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham blocked all the roads to Arab Said village in western Idlib city and deployed in the village. The group encircled the house of a commander in “Hurras Al-Din” jihadi organization known as “Abu Omar Manhaj”, and arrested him by force after he refused to handed himself in the previous day.

A day earlier, HTS has issued a statement under the name of the “Operations Room of Al-Fath Al-Mubin”, in which it decided to unify military activities under the command of the “Operations Room of Al-Fath Al-Mubin”, preventing the formation of any other operating room or the formation of a new faction, under accountability.

HTS also called on those who wanted to contribute to the military field to do so through that operating room. HTS thus cancelled “Fa Ethbatu”, the joint operations room of jihadis factions.
