Turkish-backed areas | Gunman attacks hospital, and medical staff protesting security chaos and threats of work suspension by organization supporting the hospital

SOHR activists say that a group of doctors from al-Bab and the local council staged a protest demanding that security services protect medical staff in light of the growing security chaos in the area.

One of the patients’ companions opened fire on one of the nursing staff inside al-Farabi maternity and children’s Hospital in Al-Bab. No casualties have been reported among the civilians.

Meanwhile, al-Farabi hospital and the medical organization Seema, which supports it, condemned the armed attack on its staff at the hospital in al-Bab city, eastern Aleppo.

The hospital administration also decided to suspend the work in condemnation of the incident for one or two days.

Al-Farabi Hospital is one of the most important hospitals in the areas held by Turkish-backed factions, specializing in obstetrics, gynaecology and pediatrics.

Moreover, two civilians were injured in al-Bab after being shot after a verbal altercation with gunmen from the city.
