”De-escalation zone” | Regime forces shell Idlib countryside, while opposition factions respond to fire targeting regime positions and clash with them in Sahl Al-Ghab

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this evening artillery shelling by regime forces, targeting the villages of Al-Bara, Fleifel and Al-Fatira in Jabal al-Zawiya, south of Idlib, while the factions responded to fire targeting the gatherings of regime forces and the sites where rocket are launched.

On the other hand, heavy machine guns were heard as a result of an exchange of fire between regime forces and loyalists on the one hand, and opposition factions stationed in Sahl Al-Ghab on al-Manara and Al-Qahira frontlines, northwest of Hama. No casualties have been reported yet.

Regime forces targeted, on Sunday morning, positions in the villages of Safohin, Al-Hallobi, Faliel, Al-Fatira, the perimeter of Kansafra and Ruwayha in the southern sector of the Idlib countryside.
