Al-Raqqa | Turkish-backed factions pound Tal Abyad villages injuring civilians, as Turkish jets fly over countryside

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored shelling with heavy weapons by Turkish-backed factions this evening, targeting the villages of Birkitk and Ibrahim Kordo in Tal Abyad countryside. Several civilians sustained injuries of varying severity as a result of the shelling.

Meanwhile, Turkish jets flew at low altitude over Ain Issa, which is under the control of SDF, north of Raqqa.

SOHR sources have reported this morning that shelling by Turkish forces and proxy factions extended to more areas in SDF-held areas. They targeted with rocket-propelled grenades places in the villages of Yashli and Arab Hassan, west of the city of Manbij in eastern Aleppo province, coinciding with shelling by the forces of the Manbij Military Council. No casualties have been reported.

Moreover, Turkish forces targeted the villages of Nuwehat and Khadrawi in Abu Racine countryside in Al-Hasakeh countryside, where regime forces and SDF are stationed.

SOHR sources say that Turkish army shelled from inside the Turkish border the village of Hoshan in countryside of Ain Issa and Istirahat Saqr, causing material damage and burning a fuel station in the village.

The shelling targeted frontlines from Ain Issa countryside to the western countryside of Tal Abyad.

Furthermore, Turkish forces and their proxy factions shelled the villages of Tal al-Debs, Khirbet Baqer, Qazali, Kor Hassan and Abu Haya in the western countryside of Tal Abyad. No casualties have been reported yet.
