“De-escalation zone” | Regime forces and rebels trade fire on frontlines of southern Idlib

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored exchange of fire with heavy and medium weapons in the early hours of Tuesday morning, between regime forces and opposition factions in the areas of Fulayfel and Al-Ruwayha in the southern countryside of Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

Yesterday SOHR sources said that regime forces and loyalists shelled the towns of Kansafra, Al-Bara and Al-Mawzara village in Jabal al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. Observatory activists also reported that regime forces renewed their shelling in the early hours of Monday morning, targeting places in Al-Ftera, Sfuhen and Fulayfel in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, many Russian jets were seen flying over the western countryside of Aleppo and the southern countryside of Idlib.
