IED attack | Explosion rocks SDF-held areas in Al-Raqqah

Syrian Observatory activists say that an IED exploded on the road to Al-Mazari’ in north-western Al-Raqqah city, while an SDF military vehicle was passing. The explosion caused material damage, but no casualties have been reported.

 

On Monday, SOHR sources said that unknown assailants, believed to be ISIS cells, attacked SDF checkpoint on the road to Haws area in eastern Al-Raqqah, leaving an SDF fighter dead while others sustained injuries. SOHR activists also documented the killing of a female fighter of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), after gunmen on motorcycles opened fire on a vehicle of Asayish forces on the road to Abu Khashab area in western Deir Ezzor.

 

As more people were killed, it rose to 539 fighters, civilians, oil workers, and officials in service parties, the number of people who were killed in areas within the four provinces of Aleppo, Deir Ezzor, Al-Raqqah and Al-Hasakah, in addition to the SDF-held area of Manbij in the north-east of Aleppo.

 

Syrian Observatory documented the assassination of 177 civilians including 14 children and eight women by armed cells in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, al-Hasakah countryside, al-Raqqah city and countryside, and Manbij area. In addition, 358 SDF fighters, including local leaders, were assassinated in the same areas.

 

Also four members of International Coalition were killed. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Human also documented tens of injuries due to these assassinations.
