Al-Bab | Tension between local gunmen and “military police” on the rise

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored a state of tension in Al-Bab city which is under the control of Turkish forces and factions of “Euphrates Shield” in the north-eastern countryside of Aleppo.

 

This tension started after local gunmen assaulted members of the Turkish-backed “military police” during a security campaign by the “military police” with the purpose of collecting weapons from the city and arresting masked gunmen.

 

Earlier this morning, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion in Al-Bab area. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED on the road between Al-Bab city and Qabasin town, which caused material damage only.
