Regime repression | Six people killed or arrested while attempting to flee Al-Rukban camp

SOHR | "Regime's story on ambushing gunmen in Al-Tanaf area untrue"

Reliable SOHR sources have confirmed that regime forces have killed three persons and arrested three others near the border triangle of Iraq-Syria-Jordan. According to SOHR sources, the six people are from Dier Ezzor and they have been displaced to Al-Rukban camp. Some of these people were former fighters of “Maghawir al-Thawra” forces, who gave up fighting years ago.

As conditions were worsening, those people decided to get out of the camp and escape with their personal weapons, but they failed, since regime forces killed three of them and arrested the others.

Regime-affiliated media outlets circulated yesterday some reports on regime’s “well-executed” ambush which targeted an armed group that had sneaked out of the US base in Al-Tanaf area towards Al-Bishri mountain in north-western Al-Sukhnah. Syrian Observatory sources have confirmed that the regime’s story is completely false.
