Demanding improvement of the living conditions and reducing corruption | Teachers of rural Deir ez-Zor hold vigil in SDF-held areas

The Syrian Observatory has monitored this morning the teachers of abu Hammam and Al-Kashkaiya areas in SDF-held areas, east of Deir ez-Zor, holding vigils protesting against the corruption of local councils and demanding the provision of services to the area and pay raise in light of the harsh economic conditions that the region is going through.

On July 1, Syrian Observatory activists monitored tens of people participating in a vigil in front of “Al-Shaab Council” in the SDF-held city of Hajin in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The protesters demanded the improvement of living conditions and release of prisoners. They also called for controlling the corruption in SDF local councils.
