Security chaos in Daraa | Unknown assailants beat elderly woman and steal her belongings

Daraa governorate- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that unknown assailants assaulted an elderly woman inside her home in the town of Al-Shajara, brutally beating her and stealing her property, and then fled.

 The town is housing the headquarters of the 4th Division and its affiliated forces of al-Ghaith, as well as security branches.

Yesterday, reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that a kidnapping attempt on a woman, who was accompanied by two of her children, took place in Daraa al-Mahata in southern Syria. Which includes the centers of the regime’s security services branches in addition to the presence of a large number of military checkpoints in the area.

The kidnapping failed after the woman screamed then a number of citizens gathered around her, while the kidnappers fled in their car.

On July 5, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored a new kidnapping in Daraa governorate. Unknown assailants kidnapped a child in the city of Sheikh Miskin in the north-western Daraa countryside. His relatives have not been contacted to date.
