“De-escalation zone” | Clashes renew between regime forces and rebels on Jabal Al-Zawiyah frontlines

Syrian Observatory sources have monitored renewed clashes, accompanied by exchange of fire, on Al-Fterah frontline in the southern countryside of Idlib between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups in the other.

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled places in Sfuhen, Fulayfel, Al-Fterah in southern Idlib, and the vicinity of Al-Manarah in Sahl Al-Ghab last night and this morning.

Yesterday, SOHR activists documented the killing of a member of the “National Liberation Front” (NLF) after being targeted with a guided missile fired by regime forces, while he was participating in erecting barriers nearby the 46th Regiment in the western countryside of Aleppo.

Meanwhile, exchange of rocket fire between regime forces and opposition factions took place on frontlines of Jabal Al-Zawiyah and Jabal Shashaboo. SOHR activists also reported seeing Russian reconnaissance drones flying over Idlib city.

Observatory sources confirmed a few hours earlier that opposition factions and jihadi factions fired several missiles on regime positions in Kafr Nubl in southern Idlib, and Shurlin village in Jabal Shashabou. Meanwhile, regime forces renewed ground shelling on positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah.

On the other hand, SOHR activists documented the killing of a regime soldier after being shot by a jihadi sniper on Al-Ruwayha frontline.
