Coronavirus in north-western Syria | Bab al-Hawa hospital closes and takes strict precautionary measures, as first case confirmed

SOHR sources say that the hospital of Bab al-Hawa has completely closed after it was confirmed that a doctor working at the hospital was infected with the novel coronavirus.

According to Observatory sources, the doctor arrived from Turkey a few days ago, and mingled with dozens of people inside the hospital.

This is the first case of infection in areas under the control of HTS and the factions.

Meanwhile, the administration of Bab al-Hawa Hospital announced the closure of the hospital in addition to a series of procedures, preventing in and out of the hospital for any reason. Also, quarantine the patients and their escorts, and full quarantine of doctors’ residences, including workers, and receiving cases to be canelled, regardless of their seriousness and type, and the reduction of mingling.

The administration asked the hospital staff (medical and non-medical staff) to fully comply with the full preventive measures, and to wear surgical masks and gloves properly.
