Al-Qamishli protests | Pro-regime protesters express rejection of US and Turkish presence in Syria
Syrian Observatory activists have monitored nearly 40 pro-regime protesters gathering in Al-Qasir village in Al-Qamishli city, expressing condemnation of the economic sanctions imposed on Syria. The protesters also demanded US and Turkish forces leave Syria.
On July 6, Observatory activists reported seeing several persons gathering in Tartab village controlled by regime forces and National Defense Forces (NDF) in the countryside of Al-Qamishli city. The pro-regime protesters demanded the U.S. forces get out of Syria.
In July 2, SOHR sources said that a number of al-Dardara residents and members of regime forces blocked US armored vehicles at al-Dardara Bridge in the western countryside of Tal Tamer, preventing it from passing.
Meanwhile, a patrol of Russian forces uselessly intervened to defuse the dispute between US forces on one hand, and residents and regime forces on the other. The US patrol was forced to retreat and return from another road.
In the meantime, U.S. armoured vehicles blocked a Russian patrol in the village of Ain al-Abed.
This incident came as a part of the almost-daily skirmishes between US and Russian forces in Al-Hasakah countryside.
