“De-escalation zone” | Opposition factions shoot down Russian drone, and regime forces and factions exchange fire in rural Idlib

SOHR sources have reported that the opposition factions targeted regime forces’ positions on the frontlines of Kafrnbel and Al-Bara in southern Idlib countryside, coinciding with fierce clashes between the factions of the “Al-Fath al-Mubin” operations room and regime forces stationed in Idlib countryside.

The clashes took place on the frontlines of Al-Barah, Al-Ruwayha and Kafr Batikh in Idlib. No casualties have been reported.

Meanwhile, National Front factions shot down a Russian reconnaissance drone after being targeted by anti-aircraft machine guns on the Kafr Batikh frontline, south-east of Idlib.

Syrian Observatory activists say that regime forces have fired tens of rockets, targeting the areas of Al-Sarraf, Ain Issa, Al-yamadiyyah, Al-Zaytounnah, Al-Kabinah, Shmir Fuqania and Kalaz in Jabal Al-Turkman in the northern countryside of Latakia.

Observatory activists reported earlier this morning that fierce clashes erupted in the early hours of Friday morning between regime forces and loyalists on one hand, and opposition factions and jihadi groups on the other, in areas of Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Idlib. The clashes, accompanied by intensive shelling and exchange of fire, were concentrated on frontlines of Al-Qahera and Al-Manarah. The clashes also left many injuries on both sides, while confirmed reports suggested there were fatalities.
