Turkey’s military build-up | Ten vehicles enter via Khirbet al-Jawz crossing, heading towards Ishtabraq post west of Idlib

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today the entry of a new column of Turkish forces via Khirbet al-Jawz crossing, west of Idlib. The column consists of ten armoured vehicles headed towards Ishtabraq post, west of Jisr al-Shughour.

Syrian Observatory activists have reported seeing a new Turkish military column of nearly 25 vehicles carrying logistical and military supplies crossing into the Syrian territory in to groups via Kafr Lusin crossing. The vehicles headed to Turkish positions in the “de-escalation zone”.

The number of military vehicles entered Syrian territory since the start of the new ceasefire has reached 4,570 in addition to thousands of Turkish soldiers.

From February 2 to date, the number of Trucks and military vehicles that arrived in “de-escalation zone” rose to more than 7,905 Turkish trucks and military vehicles arrived in Syrian territory, carrying tanks, personnel carriers, armored vehicles and mobile bulletproof guard booths and military radars. While over 11,000 Turkish soldiers deployed in Idlib and Aleppo during this period.
