Western Aleppo | Locals arrest group of thieves of independent factions, formed during recent advance of regime forces in countryside

SOHR sources say that young people from Kafr Ta’al village arrested a group of independent factions who were looting the homes of civilians in the village, taking advantage of the dicplacement of residents.

The thieves belong to voluntary groups formed earlier to repel regime forces’ attack during the recent offensive in the western Aleppo countryside.

SOHR sources say that members of HTS extracted irrigation pipes at Zizon Dam, and dismantled the thermal plant in Zizon and Qastal water treatment plant in the town of Ta’um, east of Idlib, and transported them to warehouses in Benich and border areas, in order to sell them to scrap dealers.

HTS members vandalized public properties, south of Aleppo-Latakia highway, for selling the steel they extract form the ruins, taking advantage of the poverty of unemployed youth. While several buildings west of Idlib were destroyed near the administrative border with Hama province.
