Syrian desert | Russian jets bombard ISIS positions in Al-Sukhnah, amid renewed battles between regime forces and ISIS

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that Russian jets executed several airstrikes on ISIS positions in Al-Sukhnah desert in eastern Homs. The Russian airstrikes coincide with renewed battles between regime forces and ISIS, amid confirmed reports about casualties on both sides.

Yesterday, Observatory activists monitored renewed airstrikes by Russian jets on ISIS positions in the Syrian desert. These aerial attacks coincided with daily clashes between ISIS members and regime forces, which have been mainly concentrated in Al-Sukhnah desert and the triangle of “Aleppo-Hama-Al-Raqqah” as a part of ISIS escalating resurgence.
